In the epic Indian poem "Ramayana," Lord Rama had to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana. When Sita was kidnapped, she was united with the god Vishnu and given a new name: Lakshmi. She became the goddess of wealth and prosperity and lived in heaven for many years. After Lord Rama returned to earth with Sita, Rama was reluctant to see her again.

When he did need her help, however, Rama's love for his wife prevailed and he pleaded with her to return to him. "Have mercy," he said. "I don't want to die!" Sita replied.

"Then you should never have been born." Just as Rama's love for his wife helped overcome his fear of death, so too can we find love in our life today and overcome our fears and obstacles in life by taking action and doing what we can to make our lives better.
